Well guys I had a chance to get out yesterday and fish with my buddy Mark. We arrived to the grounds at 7:00 am to find a lot of boats fishing in the same area for a wednesday. With such a chilly morning and the water temperature at a cool 50.5 degrees the bass were a little skiddish to bite.We first started of trolling stretches and then went to the umbrella shad rigs to see if we can get them more interested. As the water warmed in the afternoon we started picking away at them and then we switched back to the lighter stuff. All in all we kept our limit and released many more. The guys clamming around us had a slow morning but like I said it seemed as the water got warmer they started to turn on.Great fishing and thanks to Mark for letting me hop on.Tuna season a week away so i will be getting the boat ready this weekend and still doing some great

bay fishing in the Raritan.
